Jett is endearing and cute
We went to T-Rex last night for Ben Grier's 2nd birthday, and of course all of the other kids got to go to Build-a-Dino. So we took Jett over to see if he wanted to make one and he IMMEDIATELY gravitated to a purple and orange one. I think he would have been fine leaving it empty of stuffing, lol... He wasn't as in to the "process" as the slightly older kids were, but once he had the completed dino, he was just OVERJOYED. I mean to say, I doubt the $20 the other parents spent was even worth it -their dinos ended up flopping miserably out of their parents' shopping bags on the way out.
By contrast, Jett couldn't take his eyes off his dino. There was a point when you could name your dino, and Chris asked Jett "What's his name?" Jett looked at the mouthful of pointy teeth (the reason this model was chosen, no doubt.). Chris prompted "What about "Smiley?" Jett smiled so shyly and cutely and said "Yes." that Chris said he'd never ever forget that look.
On the way home, Jett kept making eye contact with his dino and saying "Smiley. I love you." and kissing him. He gets very very smiley himself when he sees the dinosaut, and though i usually have trouble rounding him up out of preschool to go home for the evering, today all I had to say was "Smiley's in the car waiting for you...." and he was like OUT THE DOOR!!!!
I asked him what his riding horse's name was. I expected "Brownie" or "Horsey" or something, but he said "Abeyon" with a total French accent. !! :)
He is in the habit of saying "Oh, this? I must have brought it home from work!"
